lyrics

i've been waiting all year
for the nights to draw in
to feel some cold air in my lungs

but now that i'm here
i'm still not feeling so great
turns out i need the stupid serotonin after all

well maybe i'm right
when i tell myself
that there's no point in getting out of bed

and maybe i'm right
when i'm catastrophising
maybe this is as good as it gets

and i'm going nowhere
(what else is new)
but i feel at home there
(so what's left to do)

give up, stay down, stop breathing
or get up, get mad, and get even

cos if all it takes to shut out this noise
is a can of red stripe in a basement
if all i need to feel like myself
is a long drive to a shitty service station

then i guess i'm alright
it's just the darkness closing in
just let me have this one
and then i swear i'll get a grip
